The river splits the town. Downtown runs along Main Street, which is Route 64, with the Hotel Baker sitting on the water. The east and west sides of the river have a different feel and a different housing stock. Most buyers form a preference once they have walked both.
Getting into the city. There is no Metra station in St. Charles. Commuters usually drive to the Geneva or Elburn stations on the Union Pacific West line, or take I-88. Worth factoring in early if you head downtown regularly.
